Kady Hutton

Kady is co-Deputy Head, providing both strategic and operational leadership to the NIHR Birmingham Biomedical Research Centre. Since joining Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in 2014, following her qualification as an adult nurse, she gained valuable clinical experience primarily within Acute Medical Units and Critical Care. In 2019, Kady transitioned into clinical research, where she has since developed extensive expertise in research delivery, governance, and funding.

Kady is also recognised for her leadership in building and nurturing high-performing research teams and has collaborated regionally to create innovative and integrated working. She also has a strong interest in medical ethics and law.
