Dr Ameeta Retzer

Dr Ameeta Retzer is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Evidence and Implementation Science.

In her role as Research Inclusion Lead for the NIHR BRC: Birmingham, she provides strategic leadership for the BRC’s Research Inclusion agenda, working collaboratively with researchers, partners, and patient and public contributors to continue to embed inclusion across all aspects of our work, aligning with NIHR priorities and our commitment to tackling health inequalities.

Ameeta has held a number of senior EDI leadership roles, and her work has consistently focused on ensuring research is inclusive, representative and equitable, spanning large-scale NIHR programmes, international collaborations, and the development of tools to improve diversity in research design and participation.
