Dr Harpreet Dibra

Harpreet is a Translational Project Manager (IP & Commercialisation) within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre: Birmingham. She supports researchers across the BRC in translating innovative research towards patient benefit by helping to identify commercialisation opportunities, navigate intellectual property (IP) considerations, and strengthen engagement with industry.

Harpreet completed her PhD in Cancer Genomics at the University of Wolverhampton, before undertaking postdoctoral research at University College London and later at the University of Birmingham with Professor Malcolm Taylor. She subsequently moved into industry, where she gained experience in project management, supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations to deliver translational research and development programmes.

Drawing on experience across academia, industry and research management, Harpreet is passionate about helping researchers bridge the gap between discovery and real-world impact. She enjoys bringing people together, building collaborative partnerships, and supporting the successful translation of research into innovations that improve patient care.
